Dr. Ying-Chiao Tsao, associate professor of Communication Sciences and Disorders at California State University-Fullerton, is a recipient of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) 2009-2019 Multicultural Grant Award and an ASHA certified fluency specialist. Dr. Tsao’s research has been examining the relationships between speech rate and fluency disorders. To address issues with serving diversity, much of her endeavors are to cultivate cultural humility through high-impact practices (e.g., co-curriculum, service-learning, interprofessional education, study abroad, etc.).
