Rachel Everard is a highly specialist speech and language therapist and in 2019 joined the British Stammering Association as Service Director.  Before this she was Head of Programme for the Speech Therapy department at City Lit in London, a national centre of excellence in adult stammering therapy. As part of the team she worked closely with her colleagues, planning, delivering and evaluating group therapy courses for adults who stammer and professional training workshops. Before joining City Lit in 2001, she worked with children with a range of communication difficulties in school settings. Rachel stammers herself and therefore brings a personal perspective to her work in stuttering. She has contributed a number of articles to various publications over the years and regularly attends and presents at international conferences. Rachel lives in London.
